The first vice-president of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Nuria Cabrera, expressed her honor in presenting the event, congratulating the Faro de La Entallada Fishing Club for its perseverance and reaffirming the institution's support to enhance the island's value.
The mayor of Tuineje, David Herrera, highlighted that reaching 30 editions underscores the event's strength, representing sport, tradition, economy, and tourism. He thanked the club's efforts and the collaboration of entities and companies.
From the Government of the Canary Islands, the Director General of Fisheries, Esteban Cipriano, emphasized the importance of sustainable fishing, particularly through tagging and release, for resource conservation and the future of the fishing sector in the archipelago.
The Minister of Tourism, Marlene Figueroa, underscored the event's tourism dimension, attracting both residents and visitors, and its role in consolidating the island's annual event offerings.

This year's edition, in addition to its sporting and tourist aspects, reinforces its commitment to marine environment protection through tagging and release, aligning with a philosophy of respect for the sea.
