Pájara Seniors Travel to Murcia in Active Aging Program
Over one hundred participants enjoy leisure and social experiences in an initiative by the Government of the Canary Islands and the Pájara City Council.

More than one hundred elderly residents from Pájara have participated in a trip to Murcia as part of the ‘Canarias se mueve’ program, an initiative by the Government of the Canary Islands and the Pájara City Council to foster active aging.
The program, driven by the Canary Islands Government's Ministry of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Childhood, and Families in collaboration with the Pájara City Council, aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors through leisure, social, and participatory experiences.
For six days, participants explored some of Murcia's main cultural and heritage attractions, an activity designed to support the autonomy, well-being, and engagement of this demographic in cultural and recreational pursuits.
