The Alajeró City Council has awarded the maintenance contract for the CEO Santiago Apóstol, the municipality's main educational center situated in Playa de Santiago. The signing of the site survey report took place last Tuesday, June 23.
This project is supported by a direct subsidy from the Government of the Canary Islands, granted through an order signed on December 30, 2025, by the Minister of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity, and Sports. The subsidy, intended to finance the costs of executing construction projects under the designation ‘CEO Santiago Apóstol Maintenance Works’, amounts to 95,150.63 euros and covers the fees for project drafting and site management.
The planned interventions at the educational center include modifying two patios on the second floor, repairing the bathrooms in the infant section, and various repairs to exterior carpentry and the emergency staircase. The outdoor storage area will also be expanded, and repairs will be carried out on the main roof and the sports court roof, in addition to replacing part of the school's fencing.
