The San Sebastián de La Gomera City Council will host the fifth edition of the Health Fair on April 17th at Plaza de Las Américas, featuring over thirty participating entities and a diverse program focused on physical and mental well-being.

The mayor of San Sebastián de La Gomera, Angélica Padilla, highlighted that this initiative is designed to reach all sectors of society, providing key information on physical and mental health, always with the support of qualified professionals. The fair will run throughout the day, both in the morning and afternoon, with a special emphasis on visits from local educational centers.
This edition expects the participation of 5th and 6th-grade primary students from CEIP Ruiz de Padrón and CEIP La Lomada, as well as secondary education students from IES San Sebastián. The Aula Enclave, Occupational Workshops, Adapted Vocational Training, and the NEAE +21 program from CEPA La Gomera will also take part, for whom a series of workshops and activities with content adapted to each age group have been prepared.

"In this fifth edition, the focus will be on mental health. Through a close encounter with psychologists and psychiatrists practicing in our municipality, we aim to offer useful tools, help break down stigmas, and strengthen the emotional well-being of our community."

Ana Campoy · Councillor for Social Policies
For her part, the Councillor for Social Policies, Ana Campoy, emphasized that the fair is the result of ongoing work developed throughout the year in various health forums. Campoy added that this edition will include a specific program, both in the morning and afternoon, featuring engaging workshops and talks, complemented by sports, recreational, and leisure activities that will reinforce the importance of individual and collective health for improving citizens' quality of life.
