The festive day will commence at 1:30 PM with the opening of doors for attendees with reserved tables. The event is designed to showcase Canarian traditions and culture through music, folklore, and community gathering.
Throughout the afternoon, various traditional performances and activities will take place. Highlights include the creation of the Ramo de Arure, performances by the Municipal Band and the Music School Rondalla of Valle Gran Rey, as well as acts by Chácaras y Tambores de Faride, Chácaras y Tambores de La Gomera, Grupo Chigadá, Grupo Chijeré, Cantares de Tenerife, and Grupo Los Satélites. Starting at 8:00 PM, the evening party will begin, enlivened by Grupo Caribe and Grupo Sabor, at which point general public access will be granted.
The Councilor for Culture, Carlos González, emphasized the great enthusiasm behind this inaugural edition, aiming to establish the 'Baile de Magos' as a regular fixture in the municipality's cultural and festive calendar. He noted the rapid sell-out of reserved tables as evidence of the public's eagerness for such events and the celebration of traditions.
González expressed his hope that this first edition will be a success in terms of participation and community spirit, helping to strengthen local customs and cultural identity, and ensuring the event's continuation in future years. Attendees are reminded that traditional Canarian attire is mandatory for entry into the venue, and participants must bring their own food and beverages.
Individuals without reserved tables can still enjoy the atmosphere and performances from a designated area for the general public, located outside the table zone but still adapted for following the celebration and enjoying the programmed events for Canary Islands Day. Once the evening party begins, both areas will merge for the collective enjoyment of all citizens. The City Council invites residents and visitors to partake in this festive and traditional day that will transform Puerto de Vueltas into a major meeting point to celebrate Canary Islands Day.
