This initiative seeks to establish itself as a meeting point for residents and visitors, promoting the traditions of the archipelago. The celebration will highlight Canarian music, gastronomy, and typical attire, recreating the characteristic atmosphere of these dances, considered one of the most significant expressions of popular Canarian culture.
“"With the launch of this first Magos Dance, we want to continue fostering knowledge and pride in our traditions, celebrating Canary Islands Day as it deserves, through coexistence, culture, and our roots."
The municipal official added that it will be a unique opportunity to experience a day where residents can enjoy their cultural identity in a festive and participatory environment. To access the interior of the venue and participate in the dance, it will be essential to reserve a table in advance, at a cost of 20 euros per table.
Each table must consist of a minimum of six people and a maximum of ten, with the full registration to be completed by a group representative. Furthermore, a fundamental rule of the event is the mandatory use of traditional Canarian attire to enter the marquee, thus ensuring the authentic character of the dance.
Those without a reserved table can attend as spectators and enjoy the atmosphere outside the venue. Once the traditional dance concludes and the open-air party begins, general access to the interior will be permitted. The table reservation period will open soon, from April 27th to May 21st, and will be announced through the official channels of the City Council.
The City Council invites all citizens to participate in this first edition, which aims to become a prominent event in the municipality's festive calendar, reinforcing the value of traditions and the cultural identity of Valle Gran Rey.
