The fair, organized by the Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián de La Gomera and the Cabildo Insular, will feature around twenty professional artisans. This event is part of the October Festivals 2026, held in honor of the Virgen de Guadalupe, the patron saint of La Gomera.
From 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, attendees can enjoy musical performances by Parranda Chigadá and the group Tendal, alongside raffles, children's activities, and gastronomic tastings. Mayor Angélica Padilla emphasized the significance of craftsmanship as part of the island's history and identity, highlighting how the fair promotes the quality and value of unique products.
The president of the Cabildo de La Gomera, Casimiro Curbelo, stressed that craftsmanship is a fundamental pillar of Gomera's cultural heritage and identity, passed down through generations. He highlighted the inter-administrative collaboration to ensure the continuity of traditional trades and foster generational succession.
Musical activities will commence at 12:00 PM. Additionally, shoppers can enter a raffle for a 300 euro voucher for artisanal items at 7:00 PM, with the option to claim the prize via video call.
