This new milestone in the municipality's urban planning opens the door to phase 3, which includes the Advancement and the Strategic Environmental Study. This stage has an investment of 98,748.49 euros, financed by a subsidy from the Regional Ministry of Territorial Policy, Territorial Cohesion and Water of the Government of the Canary Islands, adding to the 132,136.57 euros already granted for previous phases.
The public company GESPLAN will be responsible for carrying out the technical and environmental work for this phase. The forecast is to complete it before the end of 2026, to then begin phase 4 in early 2027 and continue advancing in the processing of the new PGO.
The Scope Document, which establishes the criteria for the Strategic Environmental Study, will remain available for 30 days in the Electronic Headquarters of the Valle Gran Rey City Council for public consultation. This document will address key aspects such as the analysis of planning alternatives, landscape, biodiversity, flood risks, agricultural land, and climate change.
The future General Plan will replace the Subsidiary Rules of 1989, providing Valle Gran Rey with updated urban planning adapted to current regulations and the present and future needs of the municipality.
