The Mancomunidad del Sureste de Gran Canaria is holding the XXIII Feria del Sureste from November 6 to 8 on Avenida de Ansite, Cruce de Arinaga (Agüimes), with 150 stalls to celebrate the region's identity.

The Mancomunidad del Sureste de Gran Canaria presented the XXIII Feria del Sureste on Tuesday, October 27. The fair will take place from November 6 to 8 on Avenida de Ansite, in Cruce de Arinaga (Agüimes). The event aims to be a citizen meeting point, promoting the agri-food sector, the work of NGOs, and the rich traditional and contemporary crafts of the region.
The presentation was attended by the President of the Mancomunidad and mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández; the first vice-president and mayor of Santa Lucía, Francisco García; and the second vice-president and mayor of Ingenio, Vanesa Martín. It was announced that there will be 150 stalls distributed among the three municipalities: 40 agri-food, 104 crafts, and 6 NGOs.
Óscar Hernández highlighted the project's consolidation in defending local products, boosting economic development, and reclaiming the region's identity, emphasizing the municipalities' joint effort to showcase the excellence of their agriculture, livestock, and crafts.
Francisco García noted that the fair has become a benchmark event, particularly favorable for purchasing seasonal products for the Christmas season, evolving from a local promotion showcase to an event with repercussions across Gran Canaria.
Vanesa Martín stated that the fair is an opportunity to support Canarian products and local work, stressing the benefits of consuming local produce in terms of quality, freshness, and health, and invited citizens to join in defending the region's identity.
The fair will offer a direct experience of the primary sector's excellence and local artisans' creativity, featuring a wide variety of agri-food products such as cheeses, honeys, pastries, and fresh produce, as well as showcasing the work of traditional craftspeople from Agüimes, Ingenio, and Santa Lucía de Tirajana.
The event will be complemented by a broad program of parallel activities for all audiences, including exhibitions, livestock shows, musical performances by La Trova, Los Gofiones, Los Salvapantallas, and Grupo del Sureste, as well as children's puppet theater, tastings, gastronomic displays, and traditional games.
