A total of 232 seniors from the municipality of Ingenio participated last Friday, August 7th, in the traditional Convivial Lunch, held at Finca La Granja to mark the patron saint festivities.

The event, organized by the Ingenio City Council through the Department of Seniors, the Ingenio Senior Day Center, and the San Isidro de El Carrizal Senior Center, was conceived as a space for meeting, coexistence, and celebration.
Representing the council were the Councilor for Seniors, Catalina Sánchez, and the Councilor for Presidency, Almudena Hernández, accompanied by members of the municipal government group: Fátima Méndez, Rubén López, and Saro Viera.
The lunch featured a selection of starters including potato salad, cheese, pork leg, and 'papas arrugadas' (Canarian wrinkled potatoes), followed by paella as the main course and a semi-cold dessert. The celebration continued with live music and dancing by Merengue Show.
The orchestra's performance was funded by the San Isidro de El Carrizal Senior Day Center, contributing to a day specifically designed for the enjoyment and conviviality of the attending seniors.
