The group Los Gofiones, with over five decades of experience, has generated significant excitement by selling out tickets for their upcoming Christmas Concert at the Agüimes Auditorium Theatre, three months in advance.
Due to the high demand, the Agüimes City Council has decided to organize a second performance for the same Saturday, December 19th. Tickets for this new show are now available for 10 euros on the platform tureservaonline.com.
The sales success is partly attributed to the positive memory of last year's Christmas Concert in Agüimes, where Los Gofiones masterfully performed a wide repertoire of carols, popular songs, and classics of Canarian musical heritage. This show has been a consistent success since 2013, captivating audiences of all ages with its vibrant sound, blending modern melodies with traditional folklore rhythms.
The ensemble, formed in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1968, continues to combine research and dissemination of folkloric roots with new musical proposals, keeping the cultural heritage of the Canary Islands alive. Composed of about forty musicians, they have toured the archipelago and the peninsula over the years, participating in numerous popular events, festivals, and television programs. They have also performed in several European and Latin American countries and collaborated with artists such as Silvio Rodríguez and Los Sabandeños.
For this year's event in Agüimes, Los Gofiones will prepare a renewed repertoire, performed in their characteristic style that always connects with the audience, promising a pleasant and unforgettable Christmas experience.
