The municipality of Agüimes is set for a musical evening this Friday, April 17, with two cultural events featuring singer-songwriter Dácil Santana and reggae group Tamaduba & Brian Perdomo at different venues.

The cultural agenda of Agüimes is bustling this Friday, April 17, with a dual musical offering. On one hand, the Agüimes History Museum, located in the town center, will host a new session of the Sabor de Autor series at 8:00 PM, featuring the performance of singer-songwriter Dácil Santana. Almost simultaneously, at 8:30 PM, the Arinaga Pier Booth will be the venue for a reggae concert by Tamaduba & Brian Perdomo, as part of the En Acústico program.
Dácil Santana's performance will be an intimate affair, with the artist presenting her songs accompanied only by her voice and guitar, in line with the cycle's essence. This musical experience will be complemented by a tasting of Señorío de Agüimes wine and locally sourced cheese. Santana's repertoire spans from classic songs to urban influences, and the artist has released several albums, having reached number one on Los 40 Principales Canarias charts on several occasions.
Meanwhile, the reggae proposal at the Arinaga Pier Booth will be led by Tamaduba & Brian Perdomo, a group deeply rooted in the Canarian reggae scene. The band will perform songs from their album Todo lo que hagas con amor, offering a repertoire of original compositions that blend sounds from various cultures and convey messages of unity.
Following this Friday's events, the music cycles in Agüimes will continue. Sabor de Autor has scheduled performances by Rubén Rodríguez on June 12, Alba Rox on September 17, and Jesús Garriga on November 13. The En Acústico cycle will move to the Plaza Primero de Mayo del Cruce de Arinaga to host Septeto Palmero on May 2. Subsequently, the Plaza del Rosario in the center of Agüimes will welcome The Beatless Band on May 9, and Calle Boogaloo will return to the Pier Booth on May 22. The cycle will conclude on June 13 with a performance by Agua del Chorro in Arinaga.
