The Pig Fest celebration electrified the Parque del Buen Suceso in El Carrizal last Saturday, July 11th, bringing together between 2,500 and 3,000 people for a night marked by good music and an excellent atmosphere. The free rock festival was organized by the Ingenio City Council, through the Department of Culture.
The program kicked off with a performance by Noteajunto, a Gran Canaria-based group that opened the festival with protest lyrics and a powerful live show, quickly connecting with the audience.
Next up was Hermana Furia, a Madrid band led by Nuria Furia, which surprised attendees with their level and potent live performance, turning the venue into a party.
One of the most anticipated moments arrived at 10:30 PM with the performance of Toreros Muertos, who had multiple generations singing along to anthems like ‘Mi agüita amarilla’.
The closing act was by Barón Rojo, a legendary Spanish heavy metal band, who closed an edition that once again confirmed the festival's success.
From the organization, led by the Councilor for Culture, Sebastián Suárez, a very positive assessment was made of this edition, highlighting the excellent public response and thanking the involvement of the various municipal departments that collaborated to ensure the smooth running of the event. The public is also invited to enjoy the next edition of Pig Fest, aiming to further consolidate this festival as one of the major musical events in the Villa de Ingenio.
