The new equipment includes two urban fire trucks, firefighting robots, drones designed for aquatic rescues, and tactical trailers. Additionally, battery-powered fans, specialized blankets for electric vehicle fires, and kits for pick-up trucks have been added to improve intervention speed and safety.
This investment is part of a modernization strategy driven by the Consortium to adapt fire stations to current challenges. The plan includes not only the acquisition of machinery but also a comprehensive training program to ensure operational staff are proficient with the new technologies.

The official event, held at the Agüimes Fairgrounds, was attended by institutional representatives, including the president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the president of the Emergency Consortium, who highlighted the importance of strengthening public services to ensure rapid response to any incident on the island.
