Ingenio opens tenders to improve infrastructure and public spaces

The Ingenio City Council has opened several public contracting procedures to promote improvement projects for municipal infrastructure, public spaces, and services.

The Ingenio City Council has announced the opening of several contracting procedures, published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform. These procedures invite interested companies to submit their bids to participate in projects aimed at improving the municipality's services, infrastructure, and public spaces.
Among the highlighted actions is the improvement of children's play areas in the parks of La Jurada and La Capellanía, with an estimated budget of 53,527.69 euros. The project includes the renovation of safety flooring with impact-absorbing surfaces and artificial turf, as well as the supply and installation of new playground equipment. The deadline for submitting bids is July 24.
Until the same date, July 24, companies can submit bids for the installation of smart pedestrian crossings on Calle Juliano Bonny, near the Ingenio Health Center and in the section between numbers 38 and 73. This contract, with a base tender budget of 29,658.35 euros, financed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, includes improving pedestrian safety through LED technology and active signaling, contributing to sustainable mobility and universal accessibility.
Another ongoing tender is for the contracting of surveillance, rescue, lifesaving, and health assistance services on the municipality's beaches, with an estimated value of 199,756 euros for a four-year execution period, activated each summer season. The deadline for submitting bids is July 27, aiming to ensure the safety of beach users along the municipal coastline.
The project «Accessible Itinerary Calle La Rueda – Néstor Álamo Park» is also being tendered, financed by the Government of the Canary Islands and the Ingenio City Council, with a base budget of 1,540,041.71 euros. This action seeks to renovate a section of Calle La Rueda and create a metal walkway to connect the park with the historic center of Ingenio, improving accessibility and mobility.
Finally, tenders are open for the resurfacing and road safety improvement of Calle Reina Isabel II and other streets, with a budget of 607,476.64 euros. The works, financed by municipal funds, will renew the road surface and signage in over 20 streets, in addition to replacing sections of the main drinking water supply network and installing safety barriers.
