The Ingenio City Council has started the expropriation process for an old property in El Carrizal to complete the Avenida de la Hoya, seeking to improve safety and urban connectivity.

The Ingenio City Council has initiated the compulsory expropriation procedure for an old property located at number 37 on Avenida de la Hoya, in El Carrizal. The primary goal of this measure is to finalize the opening of the southern section of this avenue, which will enhance road safety and the continuity of the urban layout in the area.
On June 3rd, the council began the joint valuation process for the land designated for the road. The expediente is currently in a public information phase, with a one-month period for interested parties to submit their objections, as announced this Monday in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas.
The affected property is an old house described as being in a state of ruin and unused for years. The complexity of the situation is compounded by the existence of numerous heirs, which has led the City Council to opt for the expropriation procedure.
Through this urban intervention, the City Council aims to remove an obstacle limiting the street's development and complete the road connection planned in the municipal planning. The opening of this section will not only facilitate traffic flow but also increase safety for both drivers and pedestrians in an area of El Carrizal that currently lacks a sidewalk.
Interested citizens can consult the expediente at the City Council's Urban Planning department during the public exhibition period and submit any objections they deem appropriate.
