The Ingenio City Council, through the Department of Mobility and Transport, is advancing its plan to provide more adequate and functional facilities for municipal public transport. These actions are carried out in coordination with the Department of Roads and Works and the Unique Transport Authority of Gran Canaria.
Recently, the shelter at the regular passenger transport stop located on República Argentina street has been replaced, improving waiting conditions and protection for daily users. This intervention marks the fifth shelter renovated in the current legislative term.
“"We continue working to improve infrastructure, in this case bus stops, this being the fifth we have changed this term, and we will keep working to make them safer."
The Councilor for Mobility and Transport, Óliver Navarro, highlighted the collaboration between administrations and municipal departments, including the Unique Transport Authority of Gran Canaria and the Department of Roads and Works, led by Fátima Méndez, in making this renovation possible.
Additionally, the taxi rank in sector number 4 has been addressed by relocating a public lighting pole that partially obstructed a parking space. This measure aims to utilize available space more efficiently and facilitate the proper provision of taxi services.
