The property, more than three decades old and located on Ingenio's main street, has undergone a comprehensive renovation. This refurbishment aims to modernize its facilities and adapt them to current citizen needs, significantly improving accessibility and safety.
The main works focused on improving accessibility, adapting corridors, stairs, exits, and railings to current regulations. Additionally, interior spaces have been reorganized to optimize functionality, energy efficiency and acoustic insulation have been enhanced, and a 30 KW photovoltaic solar plant has been installed on the roof to ensure self-consumption and energy sustainability for the building.
“"The rehabilitation of this building contributes to improving the quality of life of the people served through municipal Social Services and also to improving the working conditions of the workers who provide this service."
The building, with a total area of 1,300 square meters, will house an intermediate municipal archive in its basement, a versatile study room on the ground floor, and Social Services on the two upper floors. All these services will be operational from this Monday, once municipal staff have been relocated.
The local mayor highlighted that this investment has allowed the property to be modernized, transforming it into a more functional, accessible, and efficient space. She also emphasized the positive impact it will have on the lives of the municipality's residents, ensuring quality public services.
