El Carrizal Library Celebrates Rock Day with Art and Literature

The Agustín Ramírez Alemán Municipal Library in El Carrizal joins the celebration of Pig Fest and World Rock Day with a special program that merges literature, art, and oral storytelling.

Starting this Friday, July 10, visitors can enjoy the bibliographic exhibition «Lecturas Rockeras» (Rock Readings). This display features a curated selection of works exploring the musical genre, including artist biographies, the history of iconic bands, comics for all ages, and vinyl records and CDs, offering diverse perspectives on the world of rock.
Complementing the literary offerings, the graphic exhibition «Caricaturas Rockeras» (Rock Caricatures) is presented, showcasing a collection of illustrations by the renowned caricaturist Joan Vizcarra. His works distinctively capture key figures in rock history.

Friday's events will conclude in the afternoon with the oral storytelling session «Historias del Rock» (Stories of Rock), led by oral storyteller Celia Sánchez. Aimed at an adult audience, the activity will begin at 5:30 PM and will feature tales inspired by rock music, inviting attendees to experience the genre through words and imagination.
