Pozo Izquierdo Celebrates PozOlimpiadas with New Challenges and Festivities

Up to forty teams can participate in ten different games this Saturday, August 22nd, concluding with music during the Noches del Barranquillo.

The Pozo Izquierdo coastal area will host the third edition of the PozOlimpiadas this Saturday, August 22nd, a sports and leisure event gathering up to forty teams for ten different games, concluding with the Noches del Barranquillo.

The town of Pozo Izquierdo is preparing to host the third edition of the PozOlimpiadas this Saturday, August 22nd. The event, kicking off at 5 PM, will allow up to forty teams to compete in a total of ten distinct games. This year's novelties include challenges such as Archery, Tangram, and logs in the water, aiming to offer a refreshed experience for participants.
The organization is a joint effort by the Physical Activity and Sports and Tourism departments of the Santa Lucía de Tirajana City Council. An attendance of 150 to 200 people is expected, with a minimum age of 15 years for registration. The registration period remains open until Friday, August 21st, and applications can be submitted via email to info.pozoizquierdo@gmail.com.

He added that the day will conclude with the closing of the Noches del Barranquillo project, an initiative promoted by the Physical Activity and Sports and Tourism departments to revitalize the municipality's coastal area.
The ten games featured in the PozOlimpiadas are: Tragabolas (Ball Catcher), Archery, Tangram, Cup Race, Slider, Find Your Formula, Ball Pit, Logs in the Water, Freefall, and Crossing the Bridge. New additions like Archery, where participants shoot arrows at a target, Tangram for creating figures, and the water log challenge will test competitors' skill and dexterity.
Following the PozOlimpiadas, the Noches de Barranquillo (Barranquillo Nights) will conclude this Saturday. These events have been held on Saturdays since July 25th, featuring various activities to boost the coast's dynamism. This Saturday, August 22nd, the evening will begin around 8 PM with a DJ set, followed by a performance from Nueva Cantera, who will present a new track, and a performance by musician Alberto Déniz.
