Municipalistas Primero Canarias (1º CAN) has launched its pre-election campaign for 2027 with an event in La Karpa, Vecindario, gathering over 2,000 supporters and setting out its strategic direction.

The Canarian nationalist party Municipalistas Primero Canarias (1º CAN) has officially begun its pre-election journey towards the 2027 elections. The gathering, held this Sunday at La Karpa in Vecindario, brought together more than 2,000 supporters and local representatives from the 20 municipalities of Gran Canaria where the party has a presence.
Óscar Hernández, president of the Canarian nationalist bloc and mayor of Agüimes, emphasized Primero Canarias's commitment to being "protagonists of change" and finding solutions to identified problems. Facing "political parties that do not want us," the strategy will be to "maintain our resilience, work, and be strong for our constituents."
Teodoro Sosa, mayor of Gáldar and national secretary of Municipalistas Primero Canarias, expressed his wish for the event to become an annual tradition on Día de Canarias (Canary Islands Day). Speaking in Santa Lucía de Tirajana, he showed his support for Francisco García, the local mayor, stating, "In Santa Lucía de Tirajana, there is a party and an assembly, and we will win the elections here again."
