The informative event brought together companies, institutions, and professionals from the water sector. During the morning, students from several municipal schools attended talks and workshops led by the Technological Institute of the Canary Islands and the company Canaragua, focusing on the importance of responsible water use.
“"We have companies from our municipality related to water, both in the sale of products and in the execution of their functions."
The fair was inaugurated by José Miguel Vera, Water Councillor, alongside the mayor, Francisco García, and the island director of Water Emergency for the Island Water Council, José Juan Pérez. Students also enjoyed performances by Magician Willy and the play El camino del agua, performed by the Cancionero isleño company.
Additionally, attendees visited 18 stands where they learned, through experiments and demonstrations, about water management and the necessity of conscious use. In the afternoon, three public talks were held on water consumption in the upper area of Santa Lucía.
The event will conclude with a performance by the musical group Los 600. As part of this first fair, on Friday, April 17, at 7:30 PM at the Cine de Sardina, awards will be presented to outstanding professionals in water management within the municipality and the Mancomunidad, featuring performances by the choir of CEIP Tinguaro, Maestro Florido, and Doña Antonia de Aguatona.
