The former Clínica Roca de Puerto Rico, located in Mogán, is being demolished to make way for the first hypermarket of the German chain Aldi, which plans an investment of 2.2 million euros in the new establishment.

The facilities of what was once the Hospiten Clínica Roca de Puerto Rico, in Mogán, are practically demolished. Demolition machinery has been working for weeks to clear the plot.
The hospital center, which opened its doors in 2006, closed years later as the group deemed its operation in the area no longer profitable due to competition from other nearby healthcare facilities.
This situation has led to a change in land use for the plot, which will allow the arrival of Aldi's first hypermarket in the municipality of Mogán. The German retail chain plans to soon begin construction of the new building on the same plot in Motor Grande.
The estimated investment for the construction of the new establishment amounts to 2.2 million euros. The previous demolition works had a budget of 158,564 euros.
