Grupo Lopesan is strengthening its social commitment by initiating an ambitious housing plan that will introduce 326 new homes across the Gran Canarian municipalities of Mogán and San Bartolomé de Tirajana. This initiative, set to run until 2028, will be realized through three distinct property developments, aiming to bolster job creation and collective well-being in key tourist areas of Gran Canaria.
The company's business strategy is founded on the principle that success must align with social progress and an improved quality of life for local residents. By engaging in the real estate market, Lopesan seeks to foster sustainable and balanced development, ensuring that families and workers in the southern part of the island have access to modern, comfortable, and affordable housing near their workplaces.
The first phase of this plan is situated in the Loma de Pino Seco urbanization in Arguineguín (Mogán), where 59 officially protected homes are being built, exclusively for regulated rental. This project involves an investment of 10 million euros, with completion anticipated by the end of 2026. The residences, designed to maximize natural light and space, will mostly feature three bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with garage and storage facilities, and will also include two-bedroom penthouses with terraces.
The aesthetic of this development combines a dominant white facade with striking reddish and grey accents, harmonizing with the urban environment. The homes feature an open-plan layout, with kitchens flowing into living areas, emphasizing shared spaces and aiming for a high standard of habitability.
In Mogán, the expansion will continue with a second development in the same urbanization, adding another 71 protected rental units. With an investment of approximately 12 million euros, construction is expected to commence after the summer of 2026 and conclude by December 2027. Both developments in Arguineguín benefit from a strategic location with excellent highway connectivity, proximity to shopping centers, and are just a five-minute walk from the beach.
The plan is rounded out by a third project in the Bellavista urbanization, located in San Fernando de Maspalomas (San Bartolomé de Tirajana). This development will comprise 196 rental units, requiring an investment of around 30 million euros, with an estimated completion date by the end of 2028. The Bellavista area is an established residential and commercial hub, offering residents convenient access to essential public and commercial services, promoting a lifestyle where private vehicle use is often unnecessary.
Collectively, these initiatives will introduce 326 new homes to the market, reinforcing Lopesan's identity as a Canarian company dedicated to enhancing the well-being of its operating environments. The company views this strategy as the starting point for continuous development of social housing projects, actively contributing to the overall sustainability of the island's main tourist destinations and facilitating access to affordable housing for its workforce and the local community.
Over the past three decades, Grupo Lopesan has established a solid track record in residential development in Gran Canaria, promoting a total of 1,361 protected housing units. These have been strategically concentrated in three key municipalities: Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (266 units), San Bartolomé de Tirajana (778 homes), and Mogán (317 properties). With current projects under construction and in the planning stages for 2026, the company reaffirms its direct involvement in the social progress and improved quality of life for families and workers on the island.
