The Mogán City Council has expanded and updated the equipment at its Artistic Schools with the acquisition of new musical instruments and audio systems. This new material, now available to students, was incorporated last August after receiving a grant of 8,400 euros from the Department of Education and Youth of the Gran Canaria Cabildo.
The councilor for the area, Neftalí Sabina, highlighted the importance of keeping the equipment updated to adapt musical training to current needs. The funding has enabled the purchase of several stage pianos, an amplified timple, a guitar, a professional cymbal, audio and amplification systems, and wireless equipment.
Furthermore, the percussion section has been enhanced with drums, tambourines, and gomeras chacaras, along with stands, cases, straps, and drumsticks. This equipment will be used across the various disciplines taught, including music, singing, dance, theater, and Canarian folklore, for both classes and the center's performances and showcases.
The Artistic Schools of Mogán continue to offer training in diverse fields.
