The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has initiated a public consultation, allowing residents and tourists to select the allegory for the Maspalomas International Carnival 2027, with voting open until April 26.

The voting process, which will run until April 26, enables residents, visitors, and tourists to choose the theme that will inspire one of the municipality's most iconic festivities. The options presented are 'Marine Worlds', 'A World of Toys', and 'The Digital Age', each offering a distinct visual and conceptual proposal.
The 'Marine Worlds' allegory proposes a journey to the ocean floor, featuring a colorful and fantastical aesthetic linked to Maspalomas' coastal environment. 'A World of Toys' embraces nostalgia, imagination, and the universe of childhood, while 'The Digital Age' looks to the present with a theme inspired by technology, lights, and screens.

"We are launching a participatory process that allows citizens to decide from the very beginning how they want their carnival to be. It is a way to involve those who live here and those who choose us as a destination, in the construction of one of our main events."

Yilenia Vega · Councillor for Tourism, Festivities and Events
Voting is conducted digitally, with participants allowed to select only one of the three proposed allegories. The option receiving the most support will be officially chosen to theme the Maspalomas International Carnival 2027. This initiative aims to foster public participation and enhance the event's external projection, recognizing its role as a key tool for regional tourism promotion.
