The Mogán Book Fair, under the motto 'Mogán takes the floor', will run from May 11 to 16, bringing literary activities to educational centers, Arguineguín, and the municipality's town center.

This edition of the Mogán Book Fair aims to consolidate the municipality as an island benchmark for literary gatherings. The event will span various locations, starting in educational centers and culminating with the main fair in Pérez Galdós Square in Arguineguín on May 15 and 16, where 16 stands will be set up.
Between May 11 and 13, several authors will visit the municipality's educational centers to present their works and engage with students. On Thursday, May 14, the fair will move to the town center of Mogán, specifically to Sarmiento y Coto Square, where family workshops on lettering and papercraft will be offered, along with a youth workshop with a fantasy novel author. The day will conclude with a concert by Los Musipops at the El Mocán Cultural Center, with free admission.
On May 15 and 16, activities will concentrate in Pérez Galdós Square in Arguineguín. On Friday, May 15, the program will start at 10:00 AM with activities aimed at schoolchildren and the general public, including literary scavenger hunts, micro-story workshops, and the show 'La vuelta al mundo'. In the afternoon, from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the fair will offer workshops such as the Harry Potter Escapebook, creating stories with pictograms, a playroom, and inflatables.
From 5:00 PM, book presentations and signings by Canarian and local writers will take place. One of the highlights of Friday, May 15, will be the presence of a renowned author, who will present their successful thriller, Mentira, starting at 8:00 PM in the permanent tent in Pérez Galdós Square. The day will end with the Gastro Book Cover Night, blending culture, music, and gastronomy with a performance by the local group Versionado.
On Saturday, May 16, the fair will continue from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with children's workshops, a playroom, inflatables, literary presentations, book signings, and musical performances. As a grand finale, the event will feature another national literary figure, who will also present their novel Nunca estuviste solo for the first time in Canarias and sign copies.
The fair will host 16 stands from bookstores, publishers, and stationery shops from across the municipality and the island. The Programa de Formación en Alternancia con el Empleo (PFAE) Mogán Dinamiza and the Mogán Occupational Center will also participate, developing various workshops. This edition will debut a song, the result of a collective initiative by the Mogán Artistic Schools, whose music video will be presented on Friday, May 15, before the talk with the author of the thriller Mentira.
