Under the slogan 'Pride that unites us, diversity that makes us strong,' the program aims to reaffirm the municipality's commitment to equality, visibility, and respect. The initiative combines educational, cultural, and festive events, all with free admission until capacity is reached.
Activities will commence on Thursday, June 25, with a makeup masterclass led by Agustín Suárez, also known as his drag persona 'Miss Claudia.' This professional, who worked as a makeup artist for Supremme de Luxe during the second season of the popular television show 'Drag Race España' and was a coach on RTVE Play's 'Make Up Stars,' will conduct the session at the 'La Chirina' Youth Center in Arguineguín. Advance registration is required.
On Friday, June 26, the Arguineguín Multipurpose Center will host 'La Diva Invisible,' a musical monologue starring Alicia Ramos. The performance celebrates diversity, the freedom to be oneself, and the art of living.
The main events are scheduled for Saturday, July 4. At 6:00 PM, a live recording of the podcast 'Siente el Orgullo' will take place, featuring participants such as Roberto Herrera, Drag Ego, and Grimassira Maeva, among other guests. The session will address everyday topics, personal experiences, and reflections on diversity from a human, humorous, and accessible perspective.
Following this, at 8:00 PM, the Mogán Diversa Gala will be held. This event will include the reading of the Pride manifesto and the presentation of awards to individuals whose careers, work, or social contributions have advanced visibility, equality, and the defense of the collective's rights. The gala will be dynamic, with interventions and performances throughout the evening, creating an inclusive space for LGTBIQ+ artists, including drag queens and transvestites, alongside other guests, showcasing diversity in all its expressions.
Confirmed attendees include Grimassira Maeva, Wendi Superstar, Yshia Taisma, Drag Némesis, and Drag Shiky. Further confirmations are expected in the coming days.
