The municipality of Mogan experienced a day of tradition and devotion yesterday with the celebration of the San Antonio El Chico pilgrimage, which brought together more than 5,000 people.

The historic center of Mogan became a stage for music and popular culture. The procession, consisting of sixteen carts, traveled through the main streets to reach Nicolas Quesada Park, where the offering to the saint took place. Attendees, dressed in traditional attire, enjoyed local folk music throughout the journey.
During the Pilgrim's Mass, a handcrafted rosary made of avocado wood and Canary pine tea was blessed. This piece, created by a local artisan, will be presented as an institutional gift to the Pope during an upcoming official event in Arguineguin.
The transfer of the image was marked by the participation of the La Sabinosa Folk Group, arriving from the island of El Hierro, whose traditional sounds added solemnity to the event. The institutional representation, led by the mayor and the municipal corporation, actively participated in the delivery of local produce.
The day concluded with a charitable focus, as all food and products collected during the offering will be donated to Caritas. The festivities continued into the night with the traditional Baile de Taifas and various celebrations throughout the municipality.
