The incident occurred in the afternoon, and due to the severity of the injuries and the remote location of the accident, a medical helicopter from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was required. The man was urgently transferred to the Insular Hospital in the island's capital.
According to information from the regional Coordination Center for Emergencies and Security (112), the motorcyclist was admitted to the healthcare center with a diagnosis of severe multiple trauma. The accident took place on the GC-60 road, near Fataga, within the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
To facilitate rescue efforts, two ambulances and the SUC helicopter were deployed. Medical personnel from the emergency service handled the evacuation of the injured rider. The landing and takeoff maneuvers of the helicopter on the road itself were secured by firefighters from the Fire Extinction and Rescue Service of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
Civil Guard officers also attended the scene to manage traffic in the area affected by the accident and subsequently prepared the corresponding report to clarify the causes of the incident.
