The Mamajuana terrace, situated in the Meloneras shopping center, now has permission from the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council to feature ambient music. Following the granting of this authorization, Urban Planning Discipline has proceeded to unseal the venue's musical equipment, according to sources from the department headed by councilwoman Davinia Ramírez. The establishment reopened last weekend with DJ sessions.
The new license permits the terrace to emit ambient sound not exceeding 50 decibels. These sources emphasize the necessity of adhering to this limit to prevent the disturbances that had been repeatedly reported by the H-10 hotel, also in Meloneras, and by the community of owners of the adjacent residential complex.
The venue had previously been closed by the City Council on June 6, following a complaint filed by the Local Police on May 30, citing "strident noise".
