The general improvement works of the sports facility, which entailed an investment close to half a million euros, will be premiered with a football match. This game will pit the veterans of UD Las Palmas against the veterans of Cercados de Espino, marking the official reopening of the complex.
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by various authorities, including the mayor of the municipality, a counselor from the Government of the Canary Islands' Department of Education and Sports, and the sports councilor. The intervention was funded by the Government of the Canary Islands' Department of Education and Sports.
Among the executed works are the replacement of the artificial turf on the football field, the complete renovation of the irrigation system, and the installation of new sports equipment. Additionally, various improvements have been made to the complex's surroundings to optimize its functionality and aesthetics.
The renovation also covered the changing rooms and annexed facilities, where work was carried out on plumbing, electricity, waterproofing, carpentry, painting, and accessibility improvements. The project also includes the rehabilitation of the adjacent multi-sport court, the improvement of the perimeter fencing, and the construction of a new access ramp.
With this significant action, the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana regains a completely renovated sports space, adapted to meet the needs of users in Cercados de Espino and the entire local community.
