The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council will inaugurate this Sunday, May 10, the comprehensive renovation of the 'Maestro Antonio' sports complex in Cercados de Espino, a project that involved an investment of nearly 500,000 euros to modernize the facilities.

The inauguration ceremony, scheduled for 12:00 PM, will be attended by local and regional authorities. The event will have a festive and sporting character, featuring a football match between the Cercados de Espino Veterans Selection and the UD Las Palmas Former Players Association, promoting community spirit and a passion for sports.
The renovation of the complex, funded by the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, has significantly improved the neighborhood's sports facilities. The investment aimed to create a safer, more accessible, and functional space for all users.
Key improvements include the complete renewal of the artificial turf football pitch, the replacement of the irrigation system, and the installation of new sports equipment. Enhancements were also made to the complex's surroundings, as well as to the changing rooms and annexed dependencies, covering plumbing, electrical work, waterproofing, carpentry, painting, and accessibility.
The project also involved the rehabilitation of the adjacent multi-sport court, the improvement of the perimeter fencing, and the construction of a new access ramp. These actions reinforce the municipal commitment to modernizing sports infrastructure, adapting it to the needs of the residents and athletes of the municipality.
The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council invites all citizens to participate in this special day, which symbolizes the commitment to sports, community coexistence, and the improvement of municipal sports infrastructure.
