The town of Mogán is preparing to host the second edition of The Summer Games on July 17 and 18 in Arguineguín, an event that expands its format with more teams and new challenges, integrated into the Fiestas del Carmen.

This recreational and sporting event increases the number of participating teams from 20 to 24, and incorporates five new challenges, in addition to modifying several of those already held in the 2025 edition. The official presentation of the event took place at the Arguineguín Multipurpose Center.

"The increase to 24 teams will allow for places for the top three finishers from the previous edition and for the team from Las Cabezas de San Juan, one of the event's venues on the Peninsula, with the remaining places available for new participants."

The organization anticipates teams of up to 15 members and maintains a participation-focused approach. Before the start of the challenges, a parade will be held to introduce the teams, starting from Pérez Galdós Square.
In total, nine challenges will be contested, with five new additions for 2026. Among the new proposals are “The Galloping Unicorn,” “The Floor is Lava,” “The Market,” “The Tower of Colors,” and “The Blowgun Catapult.” The challenges will take place in well-known locations in the seaside town and will be explained in detail at an open meeting for interested individuals, scheduled for 7:00 PM at the Arguineguín Multipurpose Center.
The registration period for The Summer Games will be open from May 6 to 7. Teams can register through the promoting entity's website, where all event information will also be published.
As a novelty this year, Mogán will host The Summer Games Kids for the first time, a version adapted for children and young people, scheduled for July 25 at the Mogán Municipal Football Field, in Playa de Mogán, also within the Fiestas del Carmen. A maximum of 20 teams of up to 12 members can participate, with a composition requiring at least four children aged 6 to 11 and four teenagers aged 12 to 17, or alternatively, four adults over 18. The program includes six challenges, and the registration period will open from May 25 to June 7.
