“"The City Council must offer clear explanations on how it plans to act after a ruling that confirms the illegality of these homes and, especially, why an urban planning file has been allowed to proceed without the promoting company having accredited ownership of the land, an essential requirement in any administrative procedure."

The Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista (NC-BC) party has formally requested explanations and documentation from the Mogán City Council regarding the processing of an urban planning file aimed at legalizing 37 illegal homes in Monte Carrera, following a recent court ruling.
The Nueva Canarias–Bloque Canarista (NC-BC) party within the Mogán City Council has formally requested that Mayor Onalia Bueno issue legal reports and provide access to various documents. This request follows a recent judicial ruling that confirms the illegality of 37 homes located in the Monte Carrera urbanization, as stated in a party communiqué.
Councilor Juan Manuel Gabella of Nueva Canarias has submitted a written request addressed to the mayor, the municipal secretary, and the legal advisory service. The purpose is to clarify the legal consequences of the resolution issued on March 31 by the Administrative Litigation Court of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
NC's initiative comes after learning, through media reports, the content of the ruling. This resolution could directly impact urban planning file no. 15134/2025, which is currently being processed by the Mogán City Council and is linked to an urban environment action program in the Loma II area of Arguineguín.
One of the most serious concerns highlighted by Nueva Canarias is that the City Council has continued processing the aforementioned urban planning file without the promoting entity, Carrera Ground Floor SL, providing proof of ownership of the plot. This occurred despite the municipal administration having explicitly requested it.
The nationalist party has warned that it will continue to monitor this matter closely and does not rule out promoting new political and institutional initiatives to ensure the clarification of the facts and the correct action by the municipal administration.
