The Yaiza City Council has sent the technical project for the refurbishment of the playground in El Golfo to Costas del Estado, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

The council has submitted the municipal initiative, valued at 376,000 euros, for the three administrations to examine and issue the pertinent report or authorization. The project covers an area of 720 square meters, the same surface area as the current park.
The Yaiza City Council states that while the existing play equipment has been repaired, the park requires a comprehensive renovation with new facilities. The council is confident in obtaining approval from the administrations to continue its plan for improving public spaces in El Golfo.
