The Yaiza City Council has initiated the renovation of public lighting in the San Marcial del Rubicón Partial Plan of Playa Blanca, an initiative that is part of a broader strategy to improve energy efficiency in the municipality.

The works, coordinated by the Yaiza Consistory, have focused this week on replacing deteriorated luminaires. This action is part of a comprehensive plan that seeks to optimize energy consumption in various areas of the tourist town.

"The work plan foresees the replacement of 390 luminaires in the Castillo del Águila partial plan next week."

Óscar Noda · Mayor of Yaiza
The energy efficiency program implemented by the City Council has already achieved a reduction of more than 50% in the municipal electricity bill. In addition to public lighting and municipal offices, Yaiza has extended these practices to outdoor spaces for public enjoyment, such as the La Degollada picnic area.

"The government's action is not only aimed at maintaining and replacing damaged material, but also at continuing to increase photovoltaic installations."
