The audiovisual sector of the Canary Islands will intensify its international promotion in the coming months with an agenda of actions coordinated by Proexca and the Canary Islands Audiovisual Cluster.

Proexca has designed a roadmap that combines the organization of its own initiatives with participation in the main international markets, festivals, and professional gatherings of the global audiovisual industry. The objective is to position the Canary Islands as a benchmark territory for audiovisual production, enhance the visibility of Canary Islands' audiovisual brands, and facilitate new collaboration opportunities.
The calendar will kick off with participation in MiradasDoc, held from September 8 to 12 in Guía de Isora (Tenerife), a festival specializing in social documentary cinema. Shortly after, from September 11 to 14, the Canary Islands will be present at IBC Amsterdam, a key event for the media, entertainment, and technology sectors.
The 74th edition of the San Sebastián International Film Festival, from September 18 to 26, will feature institutional and business presence from the Canary Islands, along with its own networking event for industry professionals, producers, and investors.
In October, the focus will be on attracting investment with two reverse missions: one from Argentina (October 5) and another from Japan, both aimed at exploring opportunities for future projects and business establishments in the archipelago. Additionally, from October 9 to 14, the Canary Islands will participate in MIPJunior and MIPCOM Cannes, the largest international market for television and digital platform content.
Activities will continue in November with the Gran Evento Audiovisual Canarias 2026 in Gran Canaria, currently in the organization phase. The 2026 international agenda will conclude with participation in Content London (November 30 to December 3), a significant market for the development, financing, and co-production of television content.
This program reinforces the commitment to a continuous external promotion strategy, combining investment attraction with presence at major international forums. The goal is to project the capacity of the Canary Islands' audiovisual sector, facilitate the internationalization of its companies, and consolidate the Canary Islands as one of the most competitive audiovisual ecosystems in Europe.
