The Club Voleibol Suac Canarias is preparing for the final promotion phase to Superliga 1, the highest national competition, which will be held at the García San Román Pavilion in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria between April 23 and 26.

The Gran Canaria team, founded in 2021 with the aim of promoting men's volleyball in the Ciudad Alta district, has exceeded expectations by reaching this decisive stage ahead of schedule. The initial goal was to be promoted to Superliga 1 in the 2028-29 season, but the team is now on the verge of achieving it thanks to institutional support, fan backing, and sponsors.

"We wanted to make a difference in grassroots volleyball, with the goal that by the 2028-29 season the team would be promoted to the highest category of Spanish volleyball, Superliga 1. But we have advanced ahead of schedule and this year we are about to achieve it thanks to institutional support, fan support, and, of course, sponsors. In addition, we are fortunate to organize and host such an important event as this promotion phase."

The final phase of the Men's Superliga 2 will bring together the best teams from the regular season at the García San Román Pavilion, in the Schamann neighborhood. CV Suac Canarias will share a group with Club Voleibol L'Illa Grau from Castellón and Club Voleibol Almendralejo from Extremadura. The other group will consist of Arona Tenerife Sur, Club Deportivo Aldebarán San Sadurniño from A Coruña, and Club Voleibol Pinto from the Community of Madrid.
The competition, with free admission, will begin on Thursday, April 23. CV Suac Canarias will debut at 7:30 PM against UBE L'Illa Grau. The semifinals, which the top two teams from each group will access, will be played on Saturday, April 25, and the grand final, which will decide the two teams promoted to the Men's Superliga, will take place on Sunday, April 26 at 12:00 PM.

"We are going to do everything possible to fill the pavilion. We want it to be not just a volleyball match, but also a spectacle for everyone who attends, with atmosphere and effects for about 700 or 800 people, especially on Saturday, which will be the main event. Although we are considered favorites, we insist a lot on correcting errors so as not to repeat them. The matches on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 PM will be important, but the key is Saturday, because that's where it will be decided which two teams will play in Superliga 1 next year."

the team's coach
The team's coach highlighted the importance of support from other Canarian clubs, such as CV Guaguas and Olímpico, whom he considers "brother clubs" and "godfathers" in the project's development. He also mentioned the high level of the opponents, pointing to Arona Tenerife Sur and Pinto de Madrid as other favorites, which promises an intense and exciting competition.
