The political group has expressed its worry regarding the condition of fire safety equipment in premises such as senior citizen centers, sports facilities, educational centers, and even the Local Police Headquarters itself.
“"We are talking about fire extinguishers that are not just one or two months overdue; in some cases, we have found them to be up to two years past their expiration date and without the mandatory inspection. This is an unacceptable situation and further evidence of improvised and patchwork management."
According to the complaint, the absence of mandatory inspections for this equipment poses an immediate danger to the safety of individuals using and working in these spaces, as well as to the protection of municipal assets.
