A 3.5 mbLg magnitude earthquake was registered by the National Geographic Institute (IGN) under the sea between Tenerife and Gran Canaria, felt by residents on both islands.

The seismic event occurred at 11:13 AM (Canarian local time) and its epicenter was located in the area of the underwater volcano of Enmedio, at a depth of 19 kilometers.
This region is known for its frequent seismic activity and has experienced higher magnitude tremors in recent years, excluding those related to the La Palma eruption in 2021.
In late February, a 4.1 mbLg tremor was recorded in the same area, felt with an intensity of III in various towns across Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
