The Canary archipelago faces a Monday marked by atmospheric stability and a generalized temperature increase. Aemet forecasts mostly clear skies across the islands, although cloudy intervals are expected in the low-lying northern areas of the larger islands, particularly at night.
The temperature rise will be more pronounced inland, with the possibility of exceeding 30 degrees in southern Tenerife and midlands of Gran Canaria. The day will also be characterized by strong winds in various parts of the archipelago.
In Tenerife, cloudy intervals are expected in the north below 600-800 meters, with clear spells during the central hours of the day. The rest of the island will predominantly have clear skies. Maximum temperatures will slightly increase, potentially reaching 30 degrees locally on the southern coast of the metropolitan area. Santa Cruz de Tenerife will record values between 19 and 26 degrees.
Winds will blow moderately from the north and northeast, with strong gusts in the southeastern slope, the northwestern tip, and the southern midlands of Anaga, where locally very strong gusts could occur in the afternoon.
Gran Canaria will experience abundant cloudiness in the north, with clear spells in the afternoon. Temperatures will rise, especially in inland areas, and highs are expected to exceed 30 degrees in the southeastern and western midlands. Winds will be strong on the southeastern and western slopes, with the possibility of very intense gusts.
Lanzarote and Fuerteventura will alternate between clouds in the north and east with wide clearings in the afternoon. La Gomera, La Palma, and El Hierro will maintain cloudiness on the slopes most exposed to the trade winds and clear skies elsewhere. Moderate northeasterly winds will persist on these islands, with intervals of strong intensity and possible very strong gusts in the most exposed areas.
The maritime situation will be marked by north or northeast winds of force 4 to 6, generating moderate to rough seas across much of the archipelago. On the southern coasts, breezes will prevail, and the sea will remain calmer.
