The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated heat warnings across the islands, with forecasts of up to 34 degrees in Tenerife this Tuesday and highs of 37ºC in the eastern islands.

The eastern islands, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, will remain under a yellow alert this Tuesday due to high temperatures, which could reach 35ºC, and even locally 37ºC in inland areas. In Gran Canaria, maximums of 34ºC are expected in the northern midlands.
In Tenerife, the Aemet forecast indicates that maximum temperatures could reach 34ºC in some midland areas, especially in the northeast, as well as on south and west-facing slopes. Intervals of medium and high clouds are expected, with light dust haze and a generalized slight temperature increase.
The wind will blow moderately from the north, with strong gusts in the northeast and west coasts, turning to the west in midlands and high areas. For the rest of the archipelago, cloudy intervals are forecast, with rising temperatures in the mountainous islands and southeastern Fuerteventura.
