The excitement surrounding CD Tenerife, with the real possibility of securing promotion this Friday, May 1st, has led to an unprecedented demand for tickets. With the “sold out” sign displayed since last Sunday, the area around the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium has become a hub of emotion, but also of opportunism, as illegal resales have driven up prices.
Just hours after tickets sold out at official box offices, online marketplaces and social media were flooded with suspicious offers. Under classic pretexts like “selling a pen and giving away a ticket,” anonymous users were asking between 50 and 150 euros for a seat, tripling its original value. One detected advertisement offered two tickets in the high stand for 75 euros each, with the condition that the seller would accompany the buyers.
“"If you are not going, release your season ticket."
In response to this situation and to ensure no seats remain empty during such a crucial match, CD Tenerife has implemented an exceptional measure: a season ticket release system. Season ticket holders who cannot attend the match against Barakaldo CF have until Thursday, April 30th, at 3:00 PM to make their seat available to the club by sending an email with their season ticket number and an image of their ID.
The released tickets will go on sale exclusively online on Friday, May 1st, starting at 10:00 AM. These last-minute tickets are expected to sell out within minutes. Local police and security services have devised a special plan to manage crowds and monitor physical resale points around the stadium.
To avoid scams, fans are advised not to make advance payments, be wary of excessive prices, and only use official club channels to purchase tickets. The dream of promotion is just 90 minutes away, and the island of Tenerife is preparing for a historic celebration.
