According to the secretary of the CCOO postal center in the Canary Islands, Correos' participation in this process is appropriate due to its territorial reach. However, the way it has been carried out is causing significant operational problems.
The union criticizes that the public company has not sufficiently reinforced its workforce for a process of this magnitude. Furthermore, it is noted that staff did not receive the necessary training in time to properly manage the procedures, learning the details of the process just days before its start at a meeting in Madrid.
CCOO also believes that the implementation has been insufficient in the archipelago, where only 24 offices have been enabled to process this procedure. This number is considered clearly limited for the anticipated demand, hindering proper service to users.
“"It has not been well managed at Correos."
Despite these criticisms, CCOO reiterates its support for the regularization measure due to its social impact. Nevertheless, they insist on the need to improve organization, expand the number of offices, and reinforce staff to ensure effective service in the Canary Islands.
