CD Tenerife and Tamaraceite drew 1-1 during the first half of their preparatory match, held at the Ciudad Deportiva Javier Pérez.

The match, part of the pre-season, saw CD Tenerife test a system with Jorge Moreno, Joel Pérez, and José León as center-backs, and César and Diocou on the flanks. Juanjo and Pittón played in front, with Dani Fernández, Pecar, and Ranos in more offensive roles. The home team struggled to get going against a bold Tamaraceite side that disrupted their play.
From the tenth minute onwards, the team coached by Álvaro Cervera began to show more consistency, creating chances such as a header from Ranos and a shot from Pecar that was saved by goalkeeper Galindo. Tenerife seemed to approach their desired style of high pressing and quick attacks, but took time to create further danger.
It was in the 33rd minute that Mauro Pittón scored the first goal with a powerful right-footed shot from outside the box. However, a defensive lapse allowed Martínez to pass to Fran Núñez, who equalized into an empty net just a minute after the home team's goal.
Tenerife struggled to recover from the setback, and until halftime, only Diocou managed a shot on target. The last opportunity before the break fell to César, following a cross from José León.
