The Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services, and Navigation of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, along with Compañía Cervecera de Canarias, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Iberia, Atecresa, and Ecoembes, has concluded the eleventh edition of the Superior Program for Bars and Restaurants in Adeje, training approximately twenty individuals.
This course, offered in both in-person and online formats, has enhanced the business skills of the participants, all linked to the hospitality sector in the southern region of the island of Tenerife. The closing ceremony took place at the Canary Islands Tourism Innovation Factory.
Attendees included Rocío Febles, Director of Training and Employment at the Chamber; Jorge Francisco, Operations Director at Compañía Cervecera de Canarias; Víctor Morales, Head of Communication, Public Affairs, and Sustainability in the Canary Islands for Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Iberia; and Carla Hernández, representative from Ecoembes.
Rocío Febles highlighted the initiative's trajectory, now in its 11th year of promoting professionalization in the hospitality sector in southern Tenerife, and thanked the participating companies. Jorge Francisco acknowledged the strong involvement of the students and the contribution of bars and restaurants to social relations. Víctor Morales congratulated the students on their training, emphasizing how the program helps the hospitality sector grow with increasingly well-prepared professionals. Carla Hernández noted Ecoembes' participation in the module on sustainability and environmental best practices.
Following the institutional opening, diplomas were awarded to the students, recognizing their effort and passion. The training curriculum covered technical, personal, and management skills, including practical activities within collaborating companies. Content analyzed areas such as economic management, digital marketing, gastronomic photography, sustainability, and the application of new technologies.
The Chamber and its collaborating companies reaffirm their commitment to continuous training as a tool to improve service quality, drive innovation, and strengthen the competitiveness of the restaurant sector in the Canary Islands. The organization also offers other free programs and private training.
