The National Police have successfully apprehended in Arona, Tenerife, an international fugitive who was subject to a European Arrest Warrant issued by Polish authorities for a wide range of serious offenses.

The investigation began in September 2025, following a request for collaboration from Polish authorities who reported the possible presence of the wanted individual in Spain. This person, sought for over 40 crimes including assaults, illegal manufacturing and possession of weapons, drug trafficking, and fraud, faced a cumulative sentence of up to 485 years in prison.
During the localization process, the fugitive employed sophisticated security measures to evade law enforcement. On two previous occasions, he had managed to escape capture. The first time, sensing police presence, he jumped from a five-meter high back balcony. The second, in February, he fled in his vehicle during a routine traffic stop, using false documentation and endangering officers and other drivers by colliding with several vehicles.
Finally, after intensive surveillance efforts, agents located him again, hidden in a residence in an area difficult for investigation. It was the first house on a dead-end street, which facilitated his escape. The individual kept the entrance door open and was always on alert.
The arrest took place last Wednesday, when a police operation was established involving the Special Operations Group (GOES). The fugitive was intercepted a few meters from his home while walking his dog, attempting once again to flee on foot towards the residence before finally being subdued.
