Argentine player Dylan Bordón has decided to part ways with La Laguna Tenerife to continue his sports career in the United States' collegiate league, the NCAA.

The point guard, who signed a two-season contract with the aurinegro team last summer, will follow a path similar to other emerging talents from the ACB. His destination will be the University of San Francisco, known as the San Francisco Dons, competing in the West Coast Conference. He will join Danish player Gustav Knudsen there.
This departure was anticipated due to the arrival of coach Jaka Lakovic, under whom Bordón had limited opportunities during his previous stint with Gran Canaria, and attractive offers from the NCAA. The player's exit will also bring a financial benefit to CB Canarias.

This departure joins the four that the Lagunero team already announced on Friday.

The Argentine player, 21 years old and 1.91 meters tall, with an Italian passport, has been part of the first team's dynamics, especially when other point guards faced physical issues. However, his playing time in the Liga Endesa has been sporadic, accumulating 25 minutes over nine games, with six points, one assist, and four steals.
Thanks to his 'cupo' status for his formative years at Gran Canaria, he had more prominence in the Basketball Champions League, playing six games for 45 minutes, scoring 21 points, grabbing four rebounds, and providing nine assists.
Bordón particularly shone in the Liga U, where he was one of the most outstanding players for Fundación CB Canarias, averaging 19 points, three rebounds, and five assists. He has also been called up to the Argentine senior national team for the recent FIBA windows.
