The coach of CD Tenerife, after achieving promotion to Hypermotion, has shared his reflections on the intense pressure and the imperative need to reach this goal, highlighting the importance of this achievement for the club's future.

The CD Tenerife coach stated that the recent promotion to the Hypermotion category represented an “all or nothing” scenario, where failing to achieve the objective would have been considered a failure. This accomplishment marks the fifth promotion in his professional career and the second with the Tenerife team, both to the same division.

"The difference is that in the previous promotion I was filled with joy; on Friday, what I did was empty myself of anguish, pressure, and responsibility."

The coach highlighted his players' great performance in the decisive match against Barakaldo, which culminated in another victory, bringing the team's total wins to 21. Regarding the celebration, he emphasized the emotional moments of seeing the footballers with their families and the fans, acknowledging the collective effort to reach the goal.
With a contract for the next season, the coach confirmed his continuity and stressed the value of having secured promotion three matchdays in advance. He warned about the risk of getting stuck in the category if the objective was not achieved on the first attempt, citing experiences of other teams from important cities.
Looking ahead, the coach expressed his conviction about the need for high-level signings for CD Tenerife to continue progressing in professional football. He acknowledged the demanding nature of the Tenerife fans, who always expect to see the team at the top or fighting for promotion, a responsibility he fully embraces.

"Anything less than promotion would have been a failure."

He stated that, unlike other clubs playing finals, for them the consequences of a defeat were absolute, making promotion an obligation.
